Pioneer of Personality Development Movement

TUSHAR GUHA Tushar Guha - Founder Director, born on 12th September 1947, Dr. Tushar Guha is a pioneer in Personality Development Movement. He has studied Psychology and Philosophy in depth and researched on Personality Development -Meditation, Communication, Emotions and Human Relations for 20 years and implemented his work for another 12 years. He is the Chairman Managing Director of Messrs Bidyut Art Printers (India) Pvt. Ltd. - a Computer – Laser – Offset Printing Press and Publishing House.

A natural leader and an excellent orator he is regularly invited by various Institutions and Organisations to conduct training programmes in Personality Development all over India for Men, Women & Children. The 32 Sessions Special Personality Development Course(SPDC) devised by him is now a Diploma Course conducted by Nrityanjali at its premises and all over India. More than 300 hundred students have completed and benefited from this course and the ex-students have formed the Nrityanjali SPDC Alumni Association. Short Personality Development Courses of 16 and 14 sessions are also conducted for the youth and children where so far 12000 students have completed these Courses. He conducts workshops for Professionals - Doctors, Chartered Accountants, Engineers, Architects, Lawyers, and Managers etc. To his workshops he brings his wealth of ideas and practical knowledge of human relationships and personality development that is rich and varied.

Education

  • 30 years Research in Personality Development (PD). Received Ph. D. from International University under the State Board of Education, California, USA on PD being the First person in the world.

  • Master of Arts in Economics in 1970 from Pune University.

  • Honors Graduate in English Literature in 1968 from Pune University.

  • Expert Resource Person to the World Bank Aided District Primary Education Project, Govt. of India (1993-1998)

  • Chairperson of the National Conclave on MULTI DIMENSIONAL APPROACH TO EDUCATION on 17th June 2006 (MAE Conclave).
    Special Guest: Chairman HSC Board - Mrs. V.Sardesai

  • Chairperson of the seven days National Conference on Fine Arts, Education and Personality Development in 1993 (CONFEP 93).

  • Founder Trustee of Nrityanjali Charitable Trust and the Managing Director of NRITYANJALI – The Institute of Music, Dance, Dramatics, Personality Development and Management Services, established in 1963.

  • Dr. Tushar Guha is a member of the Editorial Board of the In-House Magazine of Sarva Shikshan Abhiyan - Govt. of Maharashtra.

  • Visiting Faculty to various Corporate Houses – (HPCL, Tata SSL, Maximaa Ltd., Ruia Hospitality Ltd., Reuters India Limited, Pantaloon India Limited,Management Study Centre - Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai, Hyderabad etc.). He is ably supported by an effective second line of faculties. He is also a Management Consultant.

  • Conducts Workshops for Professional organisations like Bombay Management Association, Indian Medical Association, Lions International,POSAT, NASSA, Rotary International, Senior Citizen's Group, Giant Group etc.

  • Visiting Faculty to Government and Private Educational Institutions, including Institutes of Management and Technologies all over India - IIT Powai.

  • Conducts Teachers Training through the Education Departments of various State Governments of India, SCERT, DPEP and Private Educational Institutions. A total of more than 56000 teachers have undergone the training.

  • Practicing Psychologist and Counselor.

  • External Examiner for Post Graduate Students, University of Mumbai, since 2006

  • Included in the "International Who's Who of Intellectuals" by International Biographical Centre, Cambridge, England for achievement in the particular field and selfless service to society.

  • A Writer, Poet, Lyricist, Singer, Music Composer, Actor, Director of Plays, Indian Classical, Folk and Western Dancer and Choreographer, he is a multifaceted personality and has won many awards and appreciations in these fields. He has performed more than 2300 shows all over the country.

  • Special Executive Officer by Government of Maharashtra from April 1998 to March 2000

  • Certificate of Appreciation for Courage by Bombay Police Commissioner in 1990.

  • Best Dancer Award by Lions International in 1985 – the international Year of the Youth.

  • Best Child Actor Award in 1956 by Mahabodhi Society, Kolkata.

Family

Wife Mrs. Radha Guha, an Arts Graduate and Vocalist, has given many stage performances. Quiet & silent, she is the strength of Tushar's 30 years of research work.

Daughter Dr. Anonna Banerjee, is a Scholar and has done Doctorate studies in Sociology at the University of Mumbai. She is an Arts Graduate in Sociology from St.Xaviers College, Mumbai, Master of Arts (Sociology), from Bombay University, secured Second Position and Passed NET Examination. She was a lecturer at Elphinstone College, Mumbai and worked as a Research Assistant. A Brilliant dancer in Indian Classical Kathak Dance, Indian Folk Dance & Western Style, she is a good singer & a graduate (Visharad) in Kathak Dance. She has performed more than 300 shows. An excellent Choreographer, Anonna is an actress on Stage & Television.
